• Lead the product design vision for Candid, ensuring excellence in design throughout the discovery, delivery, and iteration processes.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Data leadership to shape product direction and priorities strategically.
• Integrate design deeply within Product Operating Model teams to address user needs, business outcomes, and technical constraints holistically.
• Establish best practices for AI-enabled product design, focusing on interaction patterns for recommendations, automation, summaries, decision support, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Ensure AI-driven experiences are intuitive, transparent, trustworthy, and aligned with Candid’s mission and values.
• Guide teams in designing for explainability, confidence, and responsible use of AI in user-facing products.
• Oversee the evolution of design systems, UI patterns, and visual standards across product and marketing surfaces.
• Maintain consistency, accessibility, and scalability across all digital experiences.
• Uphold high standards for craft, usability, and clarity, especially in complex, data-rich products.
• Develop and lead a diverse design organization, providing coaching and leadership.
• Ensure user research and insights inform product strategy, prioritization, and design decisions effectively.
• Collaborate with UX Research leadership to incorporate qualitative and quantitative learning into product development.
• Foster a test-and-learn mindset through experimentation and iteration.
• Work with Marketing, Influence, Partnerships, and other stakeholders to create cohesive and aligned experiences across touchpoints.
• Advocate for design excellence across the organization, clearly communicating design intent, tradeoffs, and impact.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in product design, UX, or related fields, with senior leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success in leading product design organizations in modern, product-led environments.
• Experience in designing and launching AI-powered or data-intensive products.
• Strong grasp of product strategy, user-centered design, experimentation, and outcome-driven development.
• Ability to manage and develop senior designers and researchers.
• Proficiency in strategic planning and execution, along with exceptional communication and stakeholder leadership skills.
• Willingness to take on additional duties and projects as required.
