• Evaluate requests for limit increases from users with varying risk levels, analyzing account and transactional activity to ensure alignment with expected usage
• Review and approve remote check deposits submitted by users using both internal tools and third-party systems
• Handle a high volume of cases while adhering to service level agreements and maintaining meticulous attention to detail
• Address Risk support inquiries in the mailbox and Slack channels regarding limit adjustments and other account-related issues from financial partners, users, and internal/external parties
• Document reasoning behind risk-related decisions with appropriate supporting evidence
• Create clear documentation outlining current processes and assist in training future team members
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes by improving visibility, scalability, and efficiency through tool enhancements and procedure updates
• Ensure a positive user experience while minimizing potential fraud loss or risk to Mercury
• Prior experience in banking, fintech, or other financial services
• 2-3 years of experience in risk management
• Understanding of banking products such as ACH, International Wires, SWIFT, checks, and debit cards
• Ability to demonstrate empathy and effective communication when interacting with users
• Proficient in managing relationships with external parties with confidence and professionalism
• Skilled in assessing various types of risk and making informed decisions
• Possess strong organizational skills, efficiency, and focus
• Excellent written communication skills with clarity and purpose
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up on requests effectively
