Senior UI/UX Tech Artist

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and optimize UI and UX systems within Unreal Engine (UMG/Slate, Blueprints, Materials, and Shaders).

• Collaborate closely with UI Artists, UX Designers, and Programmers to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.

• Maintain and enhance shared UI/UX frameworks and tools utilized across various projects.

• Work with Tech Art Leads and Directors to align visual style, performance objectives, and technical workflows.

• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks related to UI rendering, responsiveness, and scalability.

• Create and update UI/UX documentation, style guides, and best practices to ensure consistency.

• Provide guidance and support to Junior and Regular Tech Artists through code reviews and problem-solving.

• Prototype and test new UI technologies, motion systems, and interactive components to enhance player experience.

• Assist marketing and design teams with interactive prototypes or presentation setups as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in game development, with a focus on UI/UX systems in Unreal Engine.

• Strong expertise in UMG, Slate, Blueprints, and Material/Shader setup for user interfaces.

• Deep understanding of UI/UX design principles, interactivity, and player usability.

• Proficient in performance optimization, UI scalability, and cross-platform implementation.

• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.

• Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills across art, design, and programming teams.

• Experience in mentoring team members and driving process improvements.

• Fluent in English (knowledge of German is advantageous).
