• Translate complex model outputs and metadata into transparent, explainable design elements to enhance trust in AI systems.
• Conduct usability testing to ensure accessibility, usability, and adoption in sandbox and pilot environments.
• Collaborate with data governance and AI fairness teams to uphold ethical AI principles in interfaces.
• Contribute to developing a unified design system for consistent branding and accessibility across all Hub applications.
• Utilize human-centered design and participatory research practices to address real user needs and enhance engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on civic tech, enterprise systems, or AI-driven products.
• Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD.
• Strong grasp of responsive and accessible design principles.
• Experience in conducting user research and translating insights into actionable design solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing accessible and inclusive interfaces meeting WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 standards.
• Ability to integrate FAIR and ethical AI design principles into user experience workflows.
• Experience with multilingual or multicultural digital experiences in public or enterprise systems.
• Skilled in simplifying complex technical concepts into visual representations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Agile or Lean environments.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
• Must be located in the Continental US.
