• Develop and create a variety of digital assets for marketing materials, reports, and social media posts, ensuring consistency with ProPublica's brand across various platforms.
• Establish and manage a central repository of brand design templates and components for different teams, including social media graphics, podcast art, and event materials.
• Collaborate with teams to understand project objectives, provide design solutions, and deliver creative work that aligns with the brand. Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with external vendors to ensure the production and delivery of high-quality physical materials.
• Minimum of five years of graphic design experience, preferably in a news organization, nonprofit, or branding agency.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design skills, including typography, composition, and color theory.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Workspace. Experience following brand guidelines in design work.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with diverse teams, and manage relationships with print vendors.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a willingness to travel for team meetings and training.
