• Lead 1-3 UI/UX projects, focusing on developing branded e-commerce websites.
• Prioritize branded UI, conversion-focused UX, and clear design strategies.
• Communicate design decisions to clients based on effective reasoning and UX principles.
• Independently manage design projects from start to finish, collaborating with developers to ensure feasibility and adherence to timelines.
• Establish component systems and uphold design guidelines for consistency.
• Supervise a team of designers, initially 2-4 direct reports, expanding as the team grows. Provide guidance in strategy, project management, design feedback, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
• Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with direct reports to evaluate client relationships, provide feedback, and oversee career growth.
• Ensure top-notch work output from direct reports, emphasizing visual excellence, UX proficiency, and timely delivery.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketers, strategists, developers, and clients, to devise project plans, grasp business goals, and address client concerns.
• Enhance internal processes for client projects in collaboration with the Director of Creative. Offer training and feedback to boost the design team's skills.
• 3-6+ years of senior-level web design experience in e-commerce, with at least 1 year of people management experience preferred. Proficiency in responsive web design is a must.
• Digital portfolio demonstrating web design and branding expertise, including color theory, hierarchy, composition, and typography.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
• Experience collaborating with developers and documenting designs for hand-off.
• Comfortable with client interactions in English, including leading discovery calls and resolving feedback.
• Skilled in providing constructive internal feedback and guiding team members to enhance their work.
• Ability to tackle ambiguous problems, understand business challenges, design effective solutions, and execute them efficiently.
• Proficient in Figma, including Auto Layout, Components, and Variants. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is essential.
• Bonus: Familiarity with HTML/CSS or frameworks like Tailwind.
