• Be part of a 40+ multi-disciplinary team of designers, researchers, and creatives who are dedicated to crafting experiences that help Remote scale successfully and assist customers in attracting, hiring, managing, and paying individuals worldwide 🌍
• Lead a newly-formed, cross-functional squad focused on evolving, implementing, and scaling our design system, Norma. Develop tools, components, documentation, materials, and processes to empower designers and engineers in creating top-notch experiences. Collaborate with product designers, engineers, product managers, and stakeholders globally to drive adoption of our design system.
• Must have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and evolving a maturing design system, including the necessary tooling, documentation, and strategies for effective scaling.
• Showcase an impressive portfolio demonstrating expertise in both product design and design systems, with a focus on scalable systems thinking and a solid grasp of key visual and interaction design principles.
• Advocate for consistency and the systematic approach to building while recognizing when flexibility or evolution is required in a design system.
• Excellent communication skills to create compelling narratives around design work, provide guidance to others, and collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders. Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, with a track record of independently owning design projects in complex domains. Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to drive impactful outcomes.
• Respected voice within an organization that focuses on improving design systems, product experiences, quality, culture, and work methodologies.
• Preference for candidates with experience in designing complex B2B SaaS solutions in industries like HRTech, FinTech, etc.
• Demonstrate alignment with Remote's core values.
• Experience working remotely is a plus but not required.
