📋 Description

• Create engaging English Language Arts educational content and activities, focusing on Newsela Original Video.

• Review, write, and edit educational video scripts for ELA and STEM to ensure engagement, inclusivity, and alignment with standards.

• Collaborate with freelance writers and editors to maintain quality and consistency in scripts.

• Ensure scripts adhere to best practices in pedagogy, including differentiation and scaffolding.

• Work with educators, subject matter experts, and producers to enhance scripts.

• Apply an editorial lens for clarity and accuracy in scripts.

• Update scripts based on feedback and evolving standards.

• Use AI tools for drafting and quality checks.

• Stay updated on literacy instruction and STEM education best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of content development experience in publishing or educational technology.

• Strong understanding of ELA standards and literacy instruction.

• Experience in writing or editing educational video scripts is a plus.

• Ability to design lessons and assessments for K-8 grade levels preferred.

• Familiarity with educational publishing standards and technology.

• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

• Proficient in content authoring tools and digital platforms.

• Comfortable with using AI in content development.

• Experience in online learning or digital curriculum design is a bonus.

• Knowledge of UDL and differentiated instruction strategies is desirable.
