•We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Product Designer specializing in Design Systems. As a Senior Product Designer, you will have a crucial role in ensuring visual and functional coherence throughout our product by shaping and advancing our design system. Your efforts will significantly impact the user experience of PandaDoc — guaranteeing that each interaction is deliberate, unified, and scalable.
•In this position, you will be accountable for contributing to the development, documentation, and upkeep of our design system. You will work closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to uphold design quality, promote reusability, and empower teams to create exceptional experiences efficiently and consistently.
•Experience: Minimum of 5 years in design systems, UI frameworks, interaction design, and ensuring visual consistency across intricate product ecosystems.
•System Expertise: Profound comprehension of atomic design principles, modular design, and scalable UI architecture. Solid understanding of typography, color theory, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design. Additional points for involvement in projects related to document creation, workflows, or lifecycle management.
•Technical Fluency: Proficient in Figma (including variables, tokens, and libraries), with a working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS). Experience in collaborating with engineers on implementation details, such as design tokens, component APIs, and handoff.
•Tooling & Documentation: Proficiency in creating clear and sustainable design documentation that facilitates scalable use and contribution. Familiarity with design tokens, versioning strategies, and design system tools is advantageous.
•Research & Validation: Capability to validate system components through real-world scenarios, audits, and usage metrics. Comfortable integrating user feedback, accessibility reviews, and implementation constraints into scalable pattern enhancements.
•Communication & Influence: Strong collaborative skills with the ability to align across design, product, and engineering teams. Capable of clearly articulating design system rationale and educating teams on usage and contribution standards. B2+ English proficiency is required.
•Problem-Solving: A systems-oriented thinker with a proactive approach to identifying inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and gaps within the system. Skilled at balancing flexibility with consistency and guiding others to do the same.
