📋 Description

• Position: Senior Product Designer

• Reporting To: Director of Product

• Supervisory Responsibility: This role does not currently involve direct reports.

• Preferred Start Date: Immediate

• Location: Seeking local candidates in the Denver or NYC metro areas

• Time Zone: Collaboration with engineers in India, requiring early morning meetings at 7am MST / 9am EST

• Travel: Limited travel required to client locations. Annual in-person company events for US All Team at Knit.

• Overview: We are in search of a Senior Product Designer to take charge of critical aspects of the Knit platform and drive innovation in AI-powered research. This role is pivotal, involving end-to-end product development—from identifying problems to design, implementation, and refinement. As the senior-most designer, autonomy, setting ambitious product objectives, and translating user insights into sophisticated, scalable solutions are key responsibilities. You will also spearhead the development of our design system in Figma and lead user exploration initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of design experience, with at least 3 years in rapidly growing startup environments (Series A or B)

• Demonstrated ability to launch B2B SaaS products from inception—managing the entire process from discovery to launch

• Proficiency in Figma—beyond usage, involved in constructing design systems, component libraries, and collaborating with designers for scaling design processes

• Strong history of leading B2B user research: conducting interviews, usability tests, and translating qualitative insights into actionable strategies

• Capable of deep collaboration with engineers and AI teams independently—while coding is not required, asking the right questions is essential

• Skilled in navigating ambiguity and complexity; bringing clarity and focus, especially during critical situations

• Prior experience as the initial design hire at a company

• Proficient in establishing a user research and testing strategy from the ground up

• Developing a design system utilized by other designers and engineers

• Experience in creating tools specific to the market research industry

• Exposure to AI/ML products
