• Responsible for designing and prototyping command and control systems, complex dashboards, and data visualization tools.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to ensure usability, performance, and precision.
• Conduct user research and usability testing, incorporating feedback into iterative design cycles.
• Assist in creating and advancing design systems and component libraries.
• Translate technical requirements into intuitive user experiences.

• Possess core Design Competencies.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and launching digital products or platforms.
• Expertise in information architecture, interaction design, and visual systems for complex or data-rich environments.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, and color systems with emphasis on accessibility and hierarchy.
• Proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping, including component-based workflows.
• Experience in designing for various platforms and operating systems utilized in defense or enterprise settings. Applied Domain Skills.
• Experience in designing command-and-control systems, mission planning tools, or similar military interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to balance usability, clarity, and operational precision.
• Familiarity with design for secure or constrained environments.
• Experience in conducting usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and incorporating findings into design updates.
• Strong collaboration skills; capable of working closely with cross-functional teams including developers, PMs, and subject matter experts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design rationale and tradeoffs effectively.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to lead aspects of the design process independently.
