• Create and implement user-centric interfaces, workflows, and design solutions for ServiceNow applications, encompassing portals, workspaces, platform, and custom modules.
• Develop customized dashboards based on data models and external data sources.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and product owners to transform business requirements into functional designs.
• Customize ServiceNow forms, portals, widgets, and dashboards utilizing Service Portal, UI Policies, UI Scripts, and other relevant tools.
• Guide developers in implementing UI components using ServiceNow Studio, UI Builder, and scoped applications.
• Work in tandem with other ServiceNow developers to devise solutions and manage updates, configuration changes, and requests to ensure functional and visually compelling outcomes.
• Standardize processes into ServiceNow design practices by comprehending business needs.
• Partner effectively with cross-functional teams, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear communication.
• Continuously enhance designs based on user feedback and analytics.
• Present and discuss design solutions in team, management, and leadership meetings.
• Gather user requirements and translate them into modern, user-friendly interfaces in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Enhance existing interfaces based on user feedback and analytics for an improved user experience.
• Stay abreast of UI/UX best practices and incorporate industry trends into design and development processes.
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to team members as necessary.
• Possess a College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Hands-on experience in designing within the ServiceNow platform Design System, particularly in Service Portal, App Engine, Studio, or Workspace design.
• Demonstrated expertise in creating and customizing widgets using the Service Portal Widget Editor.
• Familiarity with Web 2.0 technologies like Java scripting, XML, HTML, Ajax, CSS, JSON, Perl, Apache Jelly, jQuery, AngularJS, etc., and how designs are translated into front-end code.
• Experience in writing low and medium complexity JavaScript in Business Rules, Script Includes, and Custom ACLs.
• Possession of ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer, UX Designer) is highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficient in communicating complex concepts clearly and persuasively across various audiences and organizational levels.
