Software Product Designer

• Raptor seeks a Product Designer to join our team and enhance our K–12 safety and school operations platform.

• Responsibilities include leading design efforts for specific product areas, understanding user needs, shaping product direction, and ensuring end-to-end execution.

• We are in search of a senior designer with strong systems thinking, product intuition, and visual expertise, capable of generating innovative ideas and enhancing existing designs.

• Design features for products like StudentSafe, VisitorSafe, and Emergency Management to aid schools in managing safety requirements efficiently.

• Lead the design process for your features, collaborating closely with PMs and engineers to deliver high-quality work.

• Enhance our shared design system to maintain quality and consistency throughout the platform.

• Independently manage multiple initiatives, bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to your projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in designing digital products, preferably in SaaS, enterprise, or multi-user systems.

• Proven track record of owning and delivering product features from research to final polish.

• Proficient in interaction and UX design, capable of simplifying complex problems for diverse user roles.

• Strong visual and UI skills with a keen eye for detail and consistency.

• Experience working with and contributing to design systems.

• Excellent communication skills to convey ideas clearly, write design specs, and navigate cross-functional discussions.

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively across multiple projects, and lead small to medium-sized initiatives with minimal supervision.

• Bonus: experience in education, safety, or other complex, real-world systems.
