📋 Description

• Sidecar Health is revolutionizing the landscape of health insurance by making top-notch healthcare accessible and affordable for all individuals.

• We are in search of a Director of Product Design who will spearhead and expand our member experience design endeavors.

• This role entails a strategic and hands-on leadership position that focuses on driving design vision, strategy, and implementation across our consumer-oriented products.

• Collaborate closely with the VP of Member Experience and various cross-functional leaders to define how members interact with and understand their healthcare services.

• Oversee the design resources, both internal and external, with the opportunity for growth and expansion as the company progresses.

• Drive the comprehensive design strategy and execution for our member-centric products.

• Provide guidance and work alongside cross-functional teams and external design partners to deliver top-notch, user-centric experiences.

• Offer creative direction and feedback on design workstreams to ensure consistency, clarity, and effectiveness.

• Lead pivotal initiatives aimed at enhancing usability, member engagement, and overall product design excellence.

• Influence product vision and roadmap through design thinking and user insights.

• Advocate for design excellence throughout the organization and contribute to fostering a culture that values outstanding design.

• Assist in laying the groundwork for the future expansion of the design function as the business evolves.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 7+ years of experience in designing and launching consumer-facing mobile and web applications, showcasing a robust portfolio that highlights user impact and business outcomes.

• Demonstrate a strategic mindset with the ability to link design decisions to product and business results.

• Show a proven track record of leading design initiatives, offering creative direction, and driving high-quality execution.

• Have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and external partners.

• Previous experience in managing or mentoring designers is preferred.

• Exhibit strong communication skills with the ability to present design rationale and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar.

• Possess a deep understanding of design systems, accessibility standards, and best practices for intuitive UX.

• Display a passion for crafting exceptional user experiences and a proactive approach in fast-paced environments.
