Creative Director

📋 Description

•Alma is looking for a Creative Director to enhance and advocate for creativity within the Alma brand.

•Reporting to the SVP of Brand & Marketing, this role will collaborate closely with the Director of Brand to shape Alma's creative expression strategy.

•Lead and develop a Creative team to produce top-notch, engaging creative content that propels the brand and business forward.

•The ideal candidate is an innovative visual thinker and captivating storyteller, adept at both conceptualization and execution, with a proven track record of leading small yet impactful teams that deliver exceptional creative work.

•Drive the creative vision and strategy, working closely with the Director of Brand and Content to continuously evolve the brand's look and voice across all channels for brand consistency and resonance.

•Advocate for bold ideas and innovative approaches to communicate the Alma narrative and enhance connections with diverse audiences (therapists, clients, payers, and employers).

•Provide strategic guidance and leadership to designers, copywriters, and creative project managers, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.

•Collaborate with Creative Project Managers to oversee the creative process from start to finish, ensuring alignment with the brand vision and promoting efficient teamwork.

•Work with Creative Project Managers to manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors to ensure high-quality, on-brand execution of creative projects.

•Collaborate with Product Design to maintain brand consistency across Marketing and Product platforms.

•Stay informed about our target audiences, market trends, competitor landscape, Alma products, and customer experiences to guide creative endeavors.

⛳️ Requirements

•Over 6 years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably in brand design within a startup setting, with a portfolio showcasing impactful and innovative work

•Ability to translate business goals and brand strategy into creative visions and concepts that deeply resonate with various audiences

•Strong prioritization skills and ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining speed and precision amidst changing timelines and last-minute adjustments

•Capability to develop an efficient operational vision for the team and a thorough understanding of trends and tools (including AI) that enhance creative processes

•Demonstrated empathetic leadership and people management skills, inspiring and nurturing creative talent across design, copy, and project management

•Proficiency in leading diverse teams, offering mentorship to junior designers, strategic guidance to mid and senior creatives, and managing relationships with freelancers and agencies

•Willingness to be hands-on with design work, creating detailed mockups for key projects beyond mood boards

•Expertise in Figma and Adobe products, with a deep understanding of the latest tools within each and a passion for mentoring others on their use

•Excellent communication and presentation abilities, effectively articulating strategy and creative concepts to stakeholders

•Advocacy for the Creative team at a leadership level, ensuring their needs, priorities, and contributions are recognized
