• Perform look-development and translate high-level visual targets into practical, real-time procedures.
• Prototype, test, and enhance rendering systems within Unreal Engine 5.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and innovations in rendering technology.
• Ensure visual consistency across scalability goals through efficient workflows and system integration.
• Address and solve rendering and performance challenges as they arise.
• Collaborate on GPU budgets and content memory allocations, providing guidance to content creators.
• Create test environments and unit tests to support artists in delivering optimized content.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to maintain alignment across different disciplines.
• Mentor and advise the art team on best practices and technical strategies for world-building and rendering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in real-time graphics, rendering, or technical artistry.
• Proficient in GPU workflows (lighting, rendering, compute shaders), with a focus on Unreal Engine 5.
• Demonstrated track record in developing shaders and materials that balance performance and visual quality.
• Strong knowledge of HLSL, GSL, or other shader languages.
• Experience in creating tools or automation systems using C++ or Python.
• Familiarity with node-based shading systems.
• Knowledge of DirectX 12 or similar graphics APIs.
• Experience in building scalable lighting, shading, and material pipelines.
• Proficiency in profiling tools such as PIX, RenderDoc, Unreal Insights, or similar software.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts across various disciplines.
• Proactive in driving shared objectives, mentoring colleagues, and contributing both independently and collaboratively.
