Vice President, Product Design

📋 Description

• Develop and drive the user experience vision for Eventbrite's marketplace

• Lead a cohesive design vision across all product touchpoints for creators and consumers

• Recruit, nurture, and guide product designers, UX researchers, and content designers

• Enhance collaboration between design, engineering, product management, research, and brand teams

• Establish and deploy a design system and tools to enhance quality and efficiency

• Advocate for design at the executive and board levels and outline a roadmap

• Create, document, and promote design principles, patterns, and guidelines

• Revamp the design vision focusing on creator self-service and attendee discovery

• Define the organizational structure, hire, and oversee global design teams

• Implement processes with measurable results to ensure quality and quick time to market

• Represent user needs and elevate the user experience standard across products

• Collaborate with counterparts during design and development to ensure high-quality execution

⛳️ Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in user experience and design with deep knowledge of marketplace design principles, information architecture, platform patterns, and customer-centered design

• Over 7 years of management experience with a proven track record of recruiting and developing top-performing, multi-disciplinary design teams

• Demonstrated experience leading a design organization through significant transformation

• Successful implementation of a design system in close partnership with engineering

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Understanding of standards; proven techniques and tools to uphold brand identity, accessibility, and consistency

• Extensive experience collaborating with and influencing product, engineering, and marketing teams

• Portfolio showcasing consumer-centric UX solutions to complex design challenges

• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and meet shifting deadlines across multiple projects

• Strong and impactful creative perspective

• Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in user experience, design, or a related field

• Personal passion for live events (preferred)
