📋 Description
• Develop and maintain the Vonage design system, ensuring it is aligned with Vonage’s brand, UX standards, and design principles.
• Work closely with product design and engineering teams to ensure the design system is integrated and implemented across all products consistently.
• Define and manage design patterns, components, and UI standards to ensure usability and consistency across platforms.
• Create documentation and guidelines to support the adoption and usage of the design system across the organization.
• Lead the design of new components and patterns based on user needs, product requirements, and feedback from cross-functional teams.
• Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design in the design system, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.
• Train and support designers and developers in using the design system, offering guidance on best practices and resolving issues.
• Continuously improve and iterate on the design system by gathering feedback from users, designers, and engineers.
• Stay up to date with the latest design trends, technologies, and tools to keep the design system relevant and effective.
• Mentor junior design system designers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous learning.
🎯 Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in design, with a strong focus on design systems.
• Expertise in creating, maintaining, and evolving design systems across web and mobile platforms.
• Strong proficiency in design tools such as Figma (or similar tools) and design system management tools.
• In-depth knowledge of UI/UX principles, interaction design, and accessibility standards.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly product designers and developers, to implement design systems effectively.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, design tokens, and atomic design principles.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for the design system.
• A passion for creating scalable and maintainable systems that enhance the user experience.
• Experience with mobile and web design, especially in cloud communications, SaaS, or enterprise products.
• Experience in contact center solutions and customer-facing apps.
• Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
• AI knowledge and an understanding of how AI can enhance user experience and product design.
