• Must have 6+ years of experience in product, interaction, and/or UX Design
• Proficiency in accessibility principles, semantic HTML, and design-to-code processes
• Showcase a portfolio of relevant design projects demonstrating your process and impact
• Comfortable with agile software development practices and managing multiple high-priority initiatives
• Experience mentoring designers, facilitating design discussions, and effectively communicating the value of design to stakeholders
• Strong familiarity with design systems, including system roadmap ownership and multi-disciplinary team leadership
• Knowledge of design system documentation, localization, UX writing, and component libraries
• Proficient in tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, React, Mural, Trello, and Github
• Background in civic service design, civic tech, or social impact design in the public sector
• Fluency in languages other than English
