• We are currently seeking a UX/UI Designer to assist with our ongoing Federal program. The position is currently remote, with the option to work from our Tysons, VA office or remotely anywhere in the United States in the future.
• Conduct user research in alignment with the design thinking process
• Translate research findings, user feedback, and business requirements into actionable tasks
• Generate new features from scratch and create user-friendly interfaces from wireframes to interactive prototypes
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to communicate user experience and findings throughout the design process
• Organize project files for developer handoff using Zeplin
• Assist in developing design systems and style guides through team collaboration
• Maintain design patterns based on live style guides and ensure adherence to web standards and best practices
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 4 years of related experience
• At least TWO (2) years of design experience
• Showcase a portfolio demonstrating research and UX/UI design skills
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe Design Suite, or similar software
• Understanding of human-computer interaction and usability design principles
• Strong grasp of User Research techniques and data collection methods
• Knowledge of responsive web design to address cross-browser and cross-device discrepancies
• Familiarity with design systems and the ability to adhere to established style guides
• Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 for seamless design handoff
• Understanding of Section 508 and WCAG compliance
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
