• Lynker, a Federal Government Contractor, is currently looking to hire a full-time UI/UX Scientific Application Developer - level I to support the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) at the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC).
• The chosen candidate will be responsible for creating user-friendly and responsive web interfaces that convey crucial space weather information.

• Working collaboratively with various teams, the developer will transform scientific and operational requirements into visually appealing designs using modern web technologies.
• A minimum of a Master’s degree in atmospheric science, space physics, geophysics, or related fields, along with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design methods is essential.
• Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch for creating wireframes and UI prototypes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse environment and adhere to guidance from senior team members.
• Understanding of accessibility standards, security protocols, and usability principles for web content.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ownership of tasks are required.
• Desired skills include familiarity with CMS platforms like Drupal, user research methods, and web API integration.
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git and the capability to explain design choices clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
