• Support the advancement of the Design System by defining and extending core design principles, patterns, and components based on user requirements, technical limitations, and platform strategy.
• Develop and document UI components and patterns through high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and detailed specifications to ensure clarity and seamless implementation for engineering teams.
• Uphold and regulate design consistency by conducting design reviews and offering constructive feedback to product teams, ensuring adherence to the Design System for a unified user experience across the OutSystems platform.
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration with product designers, front-end engineers, product managers, and accessibility experts throughout the product development process.
• Champion user-centric design principles to empower developers in creating intuitive and efficient user interfaces within the design system.
• Contribute to the documentation and educational resources of the design system to facilitate its adoption and comprehension.
• Stay abreast of industry trends by researching and exploring emerging UXUI trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance the design system.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers to enhance the design capabilities within the OutSystems design team.
• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Demonstrate proven expertise as a UXUI designer with a robust portfolio showcasing work on intricate use cases.
• Display a solid grasp of user-centered design principles, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
• Exhibit high proficiency in Figma and other industry-standard design tools.
• Have experience working with or contributing to design systems.
• Possess a deep understanding of component-based design, system thinking, user testing, and documentation.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills to clearly and persuasively articulate design decisions.
• Understand web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and others) and their impact on design feasibility is a plus.
• Have experience with accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
