Associate Staff Consultant – UX Designer

📋 Description

• Develop user interfaces for critical clinical interactions, drug information retrieval, IV compatibility alerts, patient-specific dosing, and toxicity warnings.

• Establish and manage a design framework that adapts to our website, mobile app, and EHR platforms while adhering to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines.

• Simplify intricate clinical data (dosage tables, compatibility charts, formulary structures) into user-friendly layouts for quick decision-making.

• Collaborate with medical content editors to ensure accurate UX organization and labeling reflecting clinical significance and evidence credibility.

• Work closely with the engineering team to deliver precise design guidelines and ensure accurate implementation.

• Advocate for patient safety during design evaluations by identifying potential error-inducing patterns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in product/UX design, with at least 2 years in healthcare, clinical, or life sciences software.

• Impressive portfolio showcasing intricate information architecture and data-rich interface design.

• Proficient in Figma, including component libraries and auto-layout features.

• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and inclusive design principles.

• Ability to comprehend and interpret clinical content effectively.

• Background in pharmacy, nursing, or health informatics preferred.

• Experience in designing for or with EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner.

• Familiarity with HL7 FHIR and interoperability of clinical data.

• Understanding of Search & AI systems.

• Previous exposure to neonatal or pediatric-specific clinical tools.

• Prior involvement in mobile applications for point-of-care settings.
