Vice President, UX Design

📋 Description

• Establish and develop a top-tier UX organization

• Mentor, lead, and nurture a talented team of designers, researchers, and content creators

• Enhance and expand our design framework and shared UX patterns to accommodate various teams, products, and AI-driven interactions

• Cultivate a culture focused on creativity, curiosity, and accountability within the UX realm

• Drive the shift from process-driven UX to AI-powered, context-aware experiences

• Define guidelines for Human-in-the-loop design, trust, transparency, and explainability

• Ensure AI interactions are supportive, seamless, and empowering

• Strive for innovation while delivering current solutions, balancing future trends with present user needs

• Lead the organization towards cutting-edge interaction models while addressing real customer issues

• Enhance product usability, design quality, and emotional impact across the product range

• Collaborate closely with customers and professionals in K-12 to enhance user research practices

• Champion simplicity over complexity as the platform expands

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 15+ years of relevant work experience

• Senior leadership experience in multi-product environments

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or relevant work experience

• Occasional travel, up to 20-25%, for key events and meetings

• Experience managing functional areas or departments

• Proven track record in designing and scaling simple, elegant systems

• Hands-on experience with AI products, understanding how AI enhances UX

• Success in collaborating with various stakeholders

• Ability to think at ecosystem and interaction levels

• Deep understanding of design systems, platforms, and product strategies

• Comfortable navigating uncertain situations and shaping direction

• Leadership style: Collaborative, direct, and opinionated
