📋 Description

• Assist product teams in implementing User-Centered Design (UCD) principles across the software development lifecycle.

• Engage with end users throughout the agile product development process to ensure solutions meet operational requirements.

• Establish feedback mechanisms with customers and leverage the Build–Measure–Learn cycle for iterative product enhancement.

• Conduct user research, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys, to validate design assumptions.

• Create design assets like sketches, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.

• Ensure design work adheres to accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508) and industry best practices for inclusive design.

• Collaborate with Product Managers on backlog refinement and prioritization to align design objectives with business goals.

• Provide guidance to developers during implementation to meet user expectations.

• Work closely with cross-functional Agile/DevSecOps teams, actively engaging in standups, demos, and retrospectives.

• Effectively present and communicate design decisions to stakeholders and senior leadership.

• Occasionally travel for official purposes in support of ACT, within and beyond NATO boundaries, for a maximum of 30 days per year.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in UI/UX design for complex web and/or mobile applications.

• Proficiency in user research, usability testing, and user-centered design methodologies.

• At least 3 years of experience, including collaboration in Agile/DevSecOps settings and backlog refinement with Product Managers.

• Proficient in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, and InVision.

• Knowledge and application of accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508) and inclusive design principles.

• Experience in producing deliverables like wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.

• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

• Fluency in English (both oral and written).

• Portfolio showcasing past design solutions and methodologies.

• Citizenship of a NATO member nation.
