• Take the lead in developing UX and UI architecture strategies for assigned products, ensuring they align with Cigna design standards
• Conduct user research, create personas, and map user journeys to guide design decisions
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for complex workflows
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and implementation
• Establish and uphold design systems, style guides, and accessibility standards (WCAG compliant)
• Conduct usability testing, analyze results, and iterate for continuous user experience improvement
• Work closely with various stakeholders to present design solutions and explain decision-making processes
• Mentor junior designers and help set best practices in user-centered design
• Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies to enhance Cigna's digital experience strategy
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Have over 5 years of professional experience in UX and UI design
• Possess at least 2 years of experience in an architect or lead-level role
• Showcase a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX/UI design for data-rich platforms
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, or InVision
• Demonstrated expertise in user research, usability testing, and iterative design processes
• Solid knowledge of information architecture, interaction design, and accessibility standards
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating closely with product managers and engineers
• Previous experience in healthcare or highly regulated industries is a plus
• Home office setup with internet connection via cable broadband or fiber optic with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
