• Develop and maintain rigging and animation pipelines, creating high-quality rigs for characters, creatures, and props. Collaborate with various departments, contribute to pipeline tools, support cloth and hair simulation, provide clean and optimized assets, and mentor staff while offering technical feedback.
• Additional responsibilities include building robust tools in Maya/MotionBuilder, supporting legacy rig retargeting, ensuring scalable solutions, debugging rigs in-game, and interfacing with different teams.
• Adapt legacy data to modern rigs and support batch retargeting pipelines.
• Over 5 years of experience
• Proficiency in rigging and skinning in Maya, strong knowledge of anatomy and deformation, experience with facial rigs, and cloth/hair physics simulation. Python scripting skills in Maya and MotionBuilder, familiarity with MotionBuilder or similar DCCs, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Preferred qualifications include shipped AAA titles, modeling/animation experience, and familiarity with Houdini/Blender.
• Additional qualifications: Expert-level Python skills in Maya/Mobu, strong MotionBuilder knowledge, ability to build extensible deformation systems, and experience with cloth/physics simulation setup and troubleshooting.
