• Produce top-notch animations for characters, creatures, and environments across a variety of projects.
• Collaborate closely with the Art and Design teams to ensure animations align with the intended vision and character traits.
• Implement animations in the engine and work with Technical Artists to ensure seamless transitions and functionality.
• Refine animations based on feedback from directors and lead artists.
• Uphold artistic vision and technical standards while optimizing animations for performance.
• Thorough understanding of animation principles and their application in real-time game engines like Unity, Unreal Engine, Proprietary, etc.
• Professional background in creating gameplay animations for lifelike humanoid characters, with a bonus for stylized animations.
• Proficient in rigging and skinning characters and creatures using Maya.
• Experience with scripting or tool development (Python, MEL, C#, or Blueprint) to streamline workflows and support the animation pipeline.
• Knowledge of game engine integration - setting up animation state machines, blend trees, and resolving technical issues between DCC tools and the engine.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with animators, designers, and programmers for smooth animation systems.
• **Desirable:**
• Understanding of gameplay mechanics and their impact on animation.
• Familiarity with scripting tools or plugins to enhance animation processes.
