• Develop and maintain rigging and animation pipelines; create high-quality rigs for characters, creatures, and props; collaborate with various departments; contribute to pipeline tools; handle cloth/hair simulation; provide clean/optimized assets; mentor and provide technical feedback.
• Act as an advisor: assist in guiding less experienced partners and animators, teaching them best practices in deformation, tool usage, and workflow consistency.
• Proactively debug, identify risks, and validate rigs in-game builds; support batch retargeting pipelines; create extensible deformation systems; build robust tools in Maya/MotionBuilder; ensure scalable, reusable solutions; understand rigging impact on combat readability, timing, and animation fidelity in melee action games.
• Over 5 years of experience
• Proficient in rigging/skinning in Maya
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and deformation
• Experience in facial rigging
• Cloth/hair physics simulation
• Python scripting (Maya + MotionBuilder)
• Experience with MotionBuilder or similar DCCs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Preferred: Shipped AAA title(s)
• Preferred: Modeling/animation experience
• Preferred: Familiarity with Houdini/Blender
