• Assist Designers in resolving technical issues, eliminating workflow obstacles, and developing customized tools and scripts to enhance efficiency.
• Configure and optimize SmartObjects for storytelling scenarios, ensuring proper behavior of props and interactive elements within the game engine.
• Create and enhance Python/Maya/MotionBuilder scripts and tools to automate tasks, validate cinematic assets, and expedite the production process.
• Prototype narrative-driven scenarios in collaboration with designers to innovate and enhance the complexity of storytelling content.
• Work closely with Quest, Cinematic, and Open World Designers to incorporate animation requirements into narrative technologies.
• Participate in Motion Capture sessions as necessary to ensure performance data aligns with narrative timing and technical standards.
• Establish, document, and manage animation workflows, naming conventions, and engine-related structures.
• Minimum 2 years of Technical Animation experience, preferably on large-scale projects with a strong narrative emphasis.
• Proficient in Sequencer and its functionalities within Unreal Engine 5.
• Familiarity with graph-based storytelling tools.
• Mastery of Maya and MotionBuilder for animation tasks and pipeline integration.
• Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 features like Motion Matching, Control Rig, and StateTrees for narrative-driven animation workflows.
• Ability to develop tools and scripts for automating tasks in the narrative pipeline.
• Solid understanding of animation principles, body mechanics, and cinematic timing.
• Basic knowledge of C++ or Blueprint to collaborate with programmers on code-related issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing technical animation challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across different departments.
