Principal Product Designer

📋 Description

• Take the lead in strategic design discovery and execution for important AI-driven experiences aimed at educators and students

• Work closely with Platform Design team to transform workstream vision into feature designs

• Act as the design lead on various initiatives, overseeing discovery, user research synthesis, conceptual exploration, design execution, and stakeholder alignment

• Function as a highly autonomous senior IC, influencing a high design standard across teams

• Collaborate with designers in all Platform workstreams to work together, remove obstacles, and evaluate design solutions

• Translate intricate educator and platform requirements into considerate, scalable, accessible AI-enabled design systems and flows

• Use qualitative and quantitative data to shape user experiences and impact product and business strategy

• Represent the Design function in cross-functional meetings, promoting collaboration and decision-making

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in designing digital products

• Strong systems thinking skills with expertise in designing entryways, dashboards, language settings, user profiles, or navigation

• Portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design, interaction design, and end-to-end product thinking

• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe CC, and rapid prototyping platforms

• Demonstrated success as a senior individual contributor within a cross-functional product team structure

• Strong storytelling, facilitation, and communication abilities across technical and non-technical audiences

• Capability to present and justify design decisions to senior leadership and various functions

• Experience in designing accessible UI in compliance with the latest WCAG standards
