β’ Responsible for building, maintaining, debugging, and refining gameplay animation systems, including character animation blueprints
β’ Source and prototype animation content by developing new assets or adapting existing ones
β’ Implement procedural systems such as physics-driven reactions, inverse kinematics, and real-time adjustments
β’ Create, document, and promote best practices, content standards, and tools for the gameplay animation pipeline
β’ Collaborate with artists and engineers to implement and upkeep a mesh skinning pipeline prototype in Blender
β’ Contribute to brainstorming, playtests, and feedback sessions to enhance the player experience through animation
β’ Must have 4+ years of experience in animation, art, or tech art in games, with at least one shipped title
β’ 2+ years of experience with Unreal Engine is essential
β’ Demonstrated expertise in Unrealβs animation systems and features, including animation blueprints, IK, retargeting, and control rig
β’ Strong understanding of game animation pipelines, from content creation to integration
β’ Proficient in skinning meshes, creating rigs, and animating in Blender (preferred) or Maya
β’ Ability to establish workflows and standards that balance technical precision with creative requirements
β’ Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
β’ Strong collaboration skills and capability to work independently or in a small creative team
β’ Excellent communication and feedback skills with a dedication to quality and excellence
