•Work closely with the Business Partner, Director of Project Delivery, and Project Managers to oversee a portfolio of capital projects.
•Collaborate with the Delivery Team and Business Unit leadership to establish client-centered, cost-effective, and space-efficient project scopes and objectives.
•Analyze client data to support and validate design decisions effectively.
•Manage external vendors to ensure accurate budgeting and efficient scheduling.
•Coordinate with vendors to assess facilities and address any deficiencies during negotiations.
•Create or oversee test fit solutions for new or renovated facilities, aligning with HR, regulatory, IT, and Security requirements.
•Guide design revisions and provide insights on potential design fees or modifications.
•Promote the adoption of innovative solutions through evidence-based recommendations.
•Ensure clients comprehend contract documents and utilize VR/AR tools and mock-ups when necessary.
•Review architectural and engineering plans for adherence to standards, codes, and client preferences.
•Monitor project schedules and budgets, escalating risks as required.
•Maintain project information and timelines in project management systems.
•Encourage design creativity and document best practices as benchmarks.
•Collaborate with FFE Specialist on finishings, schedules, and infrastructure coordination.
•Manage the procurement of furniture, artwork, equipment, and signage, ensuring accuracy and budget compliance.
•Update the Project Team on FFE, art, and signage progress.
•Partner with project delivery teams to uphold design standards for finishes, furniture, and equipment.
•Demonstrated track record in overseeing intricate design projects, specifically in healthcare settings.
•Excellent collaboration skills across teams and effective communication with clients and vendors.
•Strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities to foster innovation and productivity.
•Proficiency in design tools and project management platforms.
•Proactive and self-motivated with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
•Dedication to upholding high standards and ensuring compliance with design and regulatory standards.
•Minimum 3 years of experience in Healthcare design, particularly in oncology clinics.
•Proficient in AutoCAD & Bluebeam; Revit skills are beneficial.
•Self-driven and goal-oriented.
•Exceptional Executive-level presentation skills, or experience presenting to a Physician Board.
•Skilled in conflict resolution and de-escalation.
•Familiarity with the Build-to-Suit process is preferred.
•Ideally, 5-7 years of design management experience, either in an architectural/interior design firm or as an Owner’s Representative.
•Registered Architect or Licensed Interior Designer in the State of Texas.
