Lead UX Designer

📋 Description

• Bixal is in search of a seasoned Lead UX Designer to spearhead design strategy and implementation for a project in collaboration with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Office of Communications.

• This role involves a hands-on leadership approach that combines strategic foresight with design implementation.

• Your responsibilities will include driving the enhancement of FDIC's user experience and visual systems to ensure user-friendly, cohesive, and intuitive interfaces across various platforms.

• Collaborating closely with diverse teams, you will deliver top-notch digital services to both public and internal users.

• This is a full-time position pending contract approval by our client, with a specified performance period of up to one year, extendable for two additional one-year terms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent blend of education and/or experience.

• Demonstrated expertise and success in leadership positions within UX, UI, or digital product design.

• Proven track record in team mentoring, creative direction, or leading diverse design teams.

• Established leadership experience in enterprise-level or federal digital service projects.

• Extensive knowledge in information architecture, interaction design, and visual design systems.

• Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.

• Strong grasp of human-centered design methodologies and accessibility standards.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills with technical and non-technical teams.

• Comfortable functioning in fast-paced, dynamic environments with evolving priorities.

• Ability to secure and uphold a Public Trust clearance.
