β’ The Architectural Design Manager oversees the design and planning of renovations and new construction to ensure alignment with brand goals, operational standards, and quality control measures.
β’ Contributes to enhancing and refining prototype brand program designs.
β’ Evaluates hotel designs in relation to renovation scopes and building categories.
β’ Expands prototype design programs to accommodate various existing conditions, including optimizing guestroom and public space layouts for efficient conversion and renovation solutions for managed and franchise hotels.
β’ Acts as the primary contact for design partners and owner teams on franchise and managed-property projects within the Architecture, Design & Construction (AD&C) department.
β’ Reviews plan and specification submissions to ensure compliance with brand and AD&C standards.
β’ Occasionally visits properties to propose renovation plans, assess work quality, and ensure compliance with Property Improvement Plans.
β’ Ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, project management expertise, architectural and design experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
β’ Requires a proactive mindset, effective collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a demanding setting while maintaining professionalism.

β’ Bachelor's or Masterβs Degree in Architecture required
β’ Registered Architect preferred
β’ Minimum 5 years of experience in designing hospitality projects
β’ Previous experience in hotel-brand design preferred
β’ Strong team skills, ability to collaborate in a team environment
β’ Experience managing projects across multiple locations
β’ Strong business acumen
β’ Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and prioritization
β’ Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, ability to work with various levels of staff
β’ Ability to serve as a role model for peers and team members
β’ Proficiency in MS Office Suites, project planning tools, and space planning software
β’ Familiarity with building codes, ADA regulations, and ability to apply them in design and planning reviews
