• Take the lead on complex design projects that cover various product areas, ensuring they align with Coinbase’s strategic objectives
• Collaborate with different teams to shape the product vision and strategy, influencing stakeholders company-wide
• Define and enhance the user experience for key customer journeys, focusing on making them user-friendly, scalable, and enjoyable
• Work closely with Design Systems teams to develop scalable design patterns and components that enhance quality and consistency across Coinbase's products
• Analyze user needs and business requirements thoroughly to deliver innovative solutions with measurable results
• Engage in all project phases, from planning and strategy to execution, QA, and retrospectives
• Serve as a thought leader in product design, mentoring fellow designers and fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation
• Minimum of 10 years of experience designing consumer-facing products for web and mobile platforms
• Impressive portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX design, visual design, and written communication
• Demonstrated ability to design at scale by creating reusable patterns and components
• Strong skills in building relationships and influencing various stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams
• Experience in driving design strategy and contributing to product roadmaps with tangible outcomes
• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools
• Background in conducting user research studies and using insights to guide design decisions
• Collaborative, open-minded, and humble attitude
• Nice to have: Previous design experience in FinTech or crypto; Familiarity with the cryptocurrency ecosystem and Coinbase products; Platform experience
